6 apples peeled and diced
1/2 c water
Simmer about 20 minutes or until tender, stirring and mashing occasdionally ( as often as your little helpers would like)
Take off heat.
Add 1/4 c sugar
sprinkle with cinnamon
If you eat this warm over graham crackers, you will be eating the best “Apple Pie” ever! You can even add a dollop of vanilla yogurt.

Most of the children now have the ability to practice controlled writing but it may not be their interest, yet. Since I practice the “no tears” curriculum, we will explore each letter in depth through projects, finger tracing, air writing, walking taped letters on the floor, making them with our bodies, sign language, tracing in salt, AND pencil and paper! By the end of each letter week, we will have practiced each of the three styles of learning. If you want to do extra writing practice at home, practice writing the letter c and l and also small circles. Most letters stem from these shapes and it is great small motor practice.

Sorry the flash messed up but you can almost see how excited we were for our first day of school. We had the same smiling faces on when it was time to go home, too! Always a good sign.

Now you see them, now you don’t! What did we get to put on our picture when the work was all done? Working together gets the job done. Beautiful!
